Needful Things

As local missionaries for your community Women of Worth continually has a list of needs given to them by individuals or groups within our neighborhoods. This list can be something small like a pair of shoes a child may need for school, a coat for winter, or a month'sutility bill or a month's rent. It can be a hospital bill the family or individual cannot pay or maybe medicine that someone cannot afford. Whatever the case may be WOW is there to try and help. Just to know that someone does care and that maybe an act of kindness or a helping hand can make all the difference in changing a situation that otherwise would be a lost cause. We want to be that ray of sunshine or that miracle that just does not happen anymore. We care about our neighborhoods and we want you to know that we care about you. It does not matter if you are a person in need or someone that wants to offer your help, we welcome you! Below you will find a list of things that are currently needs within our local area. Let us know which need you would like to address and we will be happy to steer your funds to that need!! Be that person to "Pay It Forward".  We are so blessed everyday.  List of Needs

1.     Family  (1) needs help for Christmas-2 children-boy 9 years old-size 12 clothing; Large Coat (childrens size) He likes building things;skateboard;action figures

2.    Family  (2) Mother is handicapped in wheelchair with many medical needs-needs food    Also has 16 year old son who runs all the errands and assist with maintenance of home for mom- they are on limited income- son wears size large clothing-

3.    Family (3)  Homeless mom/dad staying here and there-has two children-Girl 7 years old-wears size 7 clothing; Shoes size 1; Age appropriate toys  --Son-4 years old-Shirt size-5 ; Pants size 5; shoes size 11

4.   Family (4)  Grandparents taking care of precious little girl (18months old) needs clothes -24 months; and age appropriate toys

5.   Family (5)  Mom/Dad -have 5 mentally challenged chidren they are caring for--23 year old is bedridden-cuddles with care  bears and wears large clothing-sweat pants;   17, 16 & 14 year old girls-1 large clothing-2 extra large clothing-   all like make-up and cologne/bath & body---She also has a 9 year old boy who wears size 12 clothing-likes action figures; basketballs

6.  Family (6)  Single mother (medical problems) 4 children needs assistance making rent for December. Is already one month behind-will be receiving funds in February and trying to prevent eviction before this comes in.

7. $ 800.00 to cover untility bill for single mother with two children. Utilites have been off for months and it is now getting cold. 

4.      Donation of Carpeting for Church that cannot afford-church serves the Essex community.(2,000 sq. ft)

5.  Accepting food and toy donations in order to supply the need for many families this year. The number of families in need has double from last year. Please call 410-262-0875 if you want to donate or drop them by 200 N Marylyn Ave. 7.   Blankets and Coats for the Homeless needed.

10.  Single mother of three just moved into apartment and has no furniture. Mom and children sleeping on floor. Please call if you have anything to give. They have nothing.

11.  A recovering addict, (clean over 2 years) living with her 5 children in the basement of her mothers row house. I don't need to tell you the needs here. This woman is looking for employment and shelter. If anyone can help, please let me know.(Update)--Family has found home (Rent to Buy) furninture has been donated--delivered much food to stock cabinets-family donated christmas presents and some cash to family!)

 12. Handicapped women and son in need of living room set. The set they are using now is old and falling apart.

13. Building supplies needed to rehab row-house for homeless family. (drywall, bathroom sink, tub, tile, kitchen cabinets, kitchen sink, etc.
